Maintainence and management of today's data centers can be an extensive task. Temperature, humidity, power levels, ambient conditions and airflow must all be monitored to ensure that racks, servers and cabinets are all running at peak proficiency. And that does not take into account replacements, moves, adds or changes. Luckily, Tripp Lite's new remote cooling management system SRCOOLNET is a comprehensive tool for cooling, maintaining and monitoring your data center.
As remote cooling management of IT equipment in server rooms and network closets is essential, especially to campus environments or buildings with large footprints, the key to a remote cooling management solution must be remote monitoring. The SRCOOLNET goes above and beyond providing remote monitoring, by providing monitor temperatures, alerts, review logs and control settings from any location. The simple installation and setup allows for rapid deployment and a versatile cooling solution.
The actual conditioning units are turned into easily managed devices on any network using SNMP network management platforms or a web browser. This system provides a single interface for both the SRCOOL12K, SRXCOOL12K and the ENVIROSENSE modules. In addition to prvodiing the ability to remotely adjust fan speed, cooling temperatures and dehumidification modes, a set point temperature can be specified so that a data centers air supply will stay at or below the target temperatures - for cases where the SRXCOOL12K may be indirectly supplying cold air to equipment.
