Berk-Tek Introduces Highest Performing, Small Diameter Category 6A cable

New Holland, PA – January 24, 2014…Berk-Tek, a Nexans Company, a leading copper and fiber optic cabling manufacturer, introduced a new, enhanced Category 6A cable today. The new LANmark™-XTP, features the smallest diameter Category 6A  UTP construction available at 0.275” and industry leading alien crosstalk resistance.  It is the result of new cable design elements and leveraged the extensive expertise of the Nexans Data Communications Competence Center located in the New Holland, PA facility.

“LANmark-XTP features a unique noise cancelling crosstalk prevention (XTP) technology that virtually eliminates alien crosstalk, providing the highest alien crosstalk (AXT) margin available in a  CAT 6A UTP cable,” explains Brian Simmons, Copper Product Manager for Berk-Tek.  “This small diameter CAT 6A-compliant cable improves cable density and  promotes better operational airflow and cooling in the congested pathways often found in today’s data centers,” he adds.
