Accu-Tech's Nationwide LEED Seminar Series kicked off in Charlotte on January 25. AND what a way to start the LEED Seminar series! We had close to 100 attendees for this kick off event. Folks from the "ACE" community, contractor installers and end users attended the event. The positive feedback was off the charts! Jennifer Cline with Corning started off the event with a bang and set the bar very high for the remaining presentations. Chatsworth followed up Corning with presenter John "JT" Thompson. JT's wit and charm kept the over flow crowd alert and attentive. General Cable came next with Steve Dean and their message on Generals "17 Free" cable design. Last but not least, Bill Roberts with STI fire-stop informed the crowd on the proper installation techniques of fire-stop and the role fire-stop plays in a LEED certified building.
The Bar Has Been Set
There was active discussion from the attendees during our breaks and the positive feedback was impressive. Accu-Tech hosted the event at the Omni in Up-Town Charlotte. The service and food provided by the Omni was truly first class.
Branch Manger for our Charlotte location, Dion Roberts stated, "We set the bar very high for the rest of our nationwide tour hosting sites. The event was well received and the feedback was very positive. Mike Long, Accu-Tech's LEED Green Associate, did a great job coordinating with our vendor partners on the proper message and was instrumental in the success of our kick-off event. We are very excited to continue our 'Green' message to the rest of the host cities."
