Berk-Tek: Recent Event's Impact on FEP Supply

The recent situation in Japan as well as the overall demand for FEP has created industry concern regarding the supply and availability of FEP to the LAN cable market. Berk-Tek would like to take this opportunity to address some of the concerns you might have.

At this time Berk-Tek has a secure and stable supply of FEP and we do not anticipate a significant impact to our ability to provide plenum rated cables to our customers. We continue to ship customer orders as scheduled and are not experiencing any delays as a result of the recent tightening of FEP supply in the market.

While we cannot foresee all possible impacts this tightness may have on the industry as a whole, we will continue to monitor the situation and will inform you of any changes to our manufacturing capacity in the future.

We recommend that our customers continue to place orders for the quantities necessary to service projects and for inventory replacement that is commensurate with the business environment.
