The newly redesigned MC6 Category 6 Patch Cords by Siemon provides the next generation of features, value and performance in a Category 6 RJ45 patch cord.
The redesigned MC6 cords are constructed with a new 250MHz-rated 26 AWG stranded cable that reduces cable diameter, improving cord flexibility while still exceeding the standards set forth by ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 and ISO/IEC 11801:2002.
To support a wide range of global codes and customer use-case requirements, the cable is constructed with a dual CM/LS0H (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) rated jacket.
The MC6 cords also have a low-profile boot and can be side-stacked to support ultra high-density patching environments such as network switches and blade servers.
Key Features:
Easy Installation Latch Design:
As can be seen in the pictures, the clear boot has an integrated “cantilevered” latch that prevents snagging when removing cords. This design also allows the latch to be operated from further back on the plug. This makes for easier installation and removal of the cords in high-density environments.
Strain Relief and Flexibility:
The ultra-slim boot in the next generation MC6 delivers extremely robust cable strain relief, maintaining performance critical bend radius while maximizing flexibility and ensuring excellent cable retention.
Coupled with Siemon’s patented internal cross-pair metallic isolator and 360-degree crimp, maintains cable pair geometry and eliminates deformation, resulting in higher transmission performance.
Color Coded Clips:
The new MC6 RJ45 patch cords can be used with unique color-coding clips to make identification easier.
The clips are available in a variety of colors:
- black
- white
- red
- gray
- yellow
- blue
- green
- orange
These snap on clips can be added or removed while the plug is inserted or disengaged, allowing greater flexibility in patch field identification and management.
