Corning: Introducing ALTOS FastAccess

Corning Cable System's FastAccess Technology is an innovative cable jacket design that allows the cable end to be accessed with no sharp tools, by simply “peeling” the jacket away. This technology is now being applied to ALTOS Cable. The cable jacket maintains its medium-density polyethylene makeup (for maximum outside plant durability) while offering safer cable access for both the installer and the fibers inside the cable, as no sharp tools or excessive force are required for end access of the cable.
