Trying to focus a dome camera can be hard at the best of times, even with VGA resolution. You think you get the camera in focus but then you put the dome cover on and it is out of focus! Or you knock the lens slightly which causes it to go out of focus. Once you have it all in focus, buttoned up and ready for sign-off by the customer they often ask you to zoom in a fraction or zoom out a fraction. Or the scene changes slightly causing the focus to be out. With a megapixel camera with up to 5MP resolution this can be even harder.
IQinVision is dedicated to making life for the installer easier, enabling them to get in and out of jobs faster, saving both time and money. We understand many of the issues installers face on a daily basis when installing IP video systems. Hence, all our products are designed to be as easy to install as possible and we’re always looking at ways to improve the installation experience.
Introducing motorized zoom and focus (MZF) to our Alliance-pro family of dome cameras was done with this in mind. Now, the installer doesn’t have to worry about setting the zoom and focus position spot-on while up on a ladder installing the camera. He can install the camera, go to the control room, and set the zoom and focus remotely via the IQeye user interface. If the customer wants to make any adjustments to the zoom position this can be done at the touch of a button-without having to get out your ladders!
