Corning UniCam Speed Challenge-BICSI 2013

As BICSI comes to a close, we wanted to share a story about Corning Cable System's UniCam SPEED CHALLENGE conducted during the conference.

SC Connector Record Set at BICSI Winter

Corning Cable Systems is beaming with pride after the “SPEED CHALLENGE” at
Winter BICSI 2013 held at the Tampa Convention Center this past week. The
SPEED CHALLENGE allowed the general public as well as the SKILLS CHALLENGE
competitors to test their ability and speed at different events sponsored
by the vendors.

Corning Cable Systems offered and supported the “UniCam® Speed Challenge.”
Contestants were given  (1) SC UniCam connector and a complete UniCam PFC
Tool Kit. Competitors were timed and judged on their individual speed and
ability to complete the assembly using the TKT-UNICAM-PFC kit. One winner
was chosen each night based on the fastest time of a correct assembly. The
winner each night was given a brand new TKT-UNICAM-PFC kit.

On the last evening of competition, ALBERTO LUNA wowed the audience. He
completed the SC connector assembly using a UniCam® Connector in a record
setting 22 seconds. The light was green indicating a successful connection.
ALBERTO LUNA, was also named this years “Cabling Icon” by the BICSI
organization.
