Corning’s See the Light® Fiber Optic Training Program is now offering a new certified class, “Corning Fiber Testing & Troubleshooting.” This intensive two-day hands-on course prepares attendees for optical fiber network acceptance testing and troubleshooting. Students will have extensive hands-on training using a Fluke Networks Versiv™ Light Source and Power Meter (LSPM) and Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). The course includes practical exercises to prepare the craftsperson for the day-to-day requirements of testing and troubleshooting fiber optic network systems.

This new course is ideal for contractors, installers and end-users who desire advanced testing and troubleshooting skills and knowledge including link loss testing. The course is loaded with practical exercises to prepare the craftsperson for the day-to-day requirements of testing and troubleshooting fiber optic network systems. The hands-on training is designed for those who desire advanced testing skills and knowledge. This course will equip the installers with the skills required to perform detailed link loss testing by practicing on simulated fiber optic systems using the LSPM and OTDR.
Students will be provided resource materials, any tools and consumables needed to complete classroom hands-on exercises and lunch each day. Course material is recognized by BICSI, ETA, FOA and other industry organizations.
