Cost is often one of the most significant factors in IT buying and decision making. But should price really be the ultimate deciding factor when it comes to purchasing enclosures, wall mounts and racks? Great Lakes Case and Cabinet offers products and services that are able to provide cost and time savings over the long run.
Manufacturing
Great Lakes enclosures, wall mounts and racks originate, are manufactured and assembled in the United States. Product is manufactured in a single facility with a stringent quality system to ensure that consistent, durable product is available each time a customer places an order.
Enclosure Mounting Rails
EIA Rails inside of many industry enclosures are simply 'L' shaped (if looking at the rail from above). Great Lakes rails are manufactured with a channel effect. When mounted equipment must be removed (the average life of a server is 3 to 5 years) and replaced with new equipment, this places a lot of strain on the rails. 'L' shape rails have been known to not handle equipment changes well, and Great Lakes engineers have encountered several applications where the rails have buckled inside of the enclosure. Great Lakes mounting rails are able to withstand multiple equipment rotations while also giving the customer the peace of mind that the rails are able to support a full load of equipment.
Installation of Enclosure Accessories
Great Lakes will install purchased Great Lakes accessories within an enclosure - free of charge - prior to shipping. Accessories are installed exactly where the customer specifies. This reduces the amount of individual boxes that may ship to a customer, thus freight is reduced. Installed accessories also reduce the amount of time that someone (contractor or data center worker) must spend onsite installing these items.
Installation of Third Party Product
As a premium service, third party product, such as patch panels and PDUs, can also be installed at Great Lakes prior to shipping. The customer can source the product and have it drop shipped to Great Lakes, or Great Lakes is able to source the product if the customer desires. Again, the customer incurs cheaper freight and saves time once the enclosure is onsite.
Freight Handling
Freight logistics can be difficult to coordinate. By choosing Great Lakes Pre-pay and Add shipping option, a dedicated carrier is selected by Great Lakes to deliver product. Strong relationships with dedicated carriers allow Great Lakes to provide the safest and most efficient method to ship product.
Delivery Options
In addition to product that is shrink wrapped and delivered and dropped off at a dock, Great Lakes is able to provide multiple delivery services. Product can be delivered to a specific inside location, packaging material can be removed and disposed of offsite, special floor covers can be used to protect interior services, etc. Specialty requirements of delivery are able to be confirmed at the time the order is placed to ensure enclosures arrive exactly when and how the customer requires.
With all of these cost and time saving measures, Great Lakes is able to provide a reliable, customized solution for your next project.
