Prysmian Group, secures UL’s LP listing for the GenSPEED 10 Cat 6A Indoor/Outdoor Plenum cable, becoming the first cable of its type with a 0.8A listing. The cable received a temperature rating of 125° C and allows for a wide variety of high-powered Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, including Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), lighting and security cameras.
UL’s LP rating provides assurance that a cable can handle the heat, no matter the bundle size or installation conditions. The newest 0.8A rating joins a lineup of 12 GenSPEED products with LP listings and shows the company’s continued investment in world class products and innovations, solidifying their proven track record of leadership in datacom cables.
The GenSPEED 10 Cat 6A Indoor/Outdoor Plenum cable with a 0.8A listing provides a chemical resistant cable with maximum bandwidth and a wide variety of power uses that can be installed both indoor and outdoor, even in direct sunlight. With its Plenum flame rating, it is not restricted to 50 feet on building ingress, making it ideal for indoor/outdoor applications.
“The GenSPEED line of category cables were the industry’s first cables to achieve UL’s LP listing”, said Matt Marcus, Product Manager Copper Premise. “Now, we’re thrilled to have secured the first 0.8A listing in the market. We’re proud of our innovation at Prysmian Group, and we are uniquely positioned as a leader in the industry. We know our customers look for reliable, smaller and more versatile datacom cables and continue to look for ways to expand our extensive product portfolio.”
This announcement comes after recent enhancements to the 10 Gig Category 6A offerings with the launch of GenSPEED® 10 MTP and UTP Category 6A Cables for Riser/CMR applications and a new REELEX® Pull-Pac® packaging for Category 6A products late last year.
