A Midwestern university requested seventeen technical podiums created around the Great Lakes' 300E Series enclosure. Installed in a number of classrooms, each podium was different; some were integrated into a lab table, some were built into a platform as a central lectern within the classroom and others were designed on casters to be mobile. Each included a podium top; a slide-out work surface and a drop-down control panel door. Rack mount equipment could still be installed within the enclosure. A customized hole was cut into each unit to accommodate a cable bundle containing all the various wires and cables for the multi-media systems unique to each classroom.

The Mobile Work Station (MWS) serves as a professional mobile lectern which can be easily moved from classroom to classroom as needed. The flat screen monitor arm can be made to face the presenter or the audience, offering easy support as a reference for projected presentations to a large group, used as a platform for the mounting of lecture/capture equipment or as a means to share presentations or demonstrations to a smaller audience. The locking storage compartment has space for a CPU, laptop, or other materials that must be safely stored.
