Hubbell Premise Wiring's Industrial RE-BOX® with Cooling won Best in Show at the Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) Winter Conference, held in Tampa, Florida, January 22-26. The competition included 20 other new data communications solutions.
Michael O'Connor, Senior Marketing Director for Hubbell Premise Wiring, expressed his pleasure at the acknowledgement. "There was a lot of interest at BICSI, as this new outdoor AC enclosure provides NEMA rated enclosures designed for reliability and flexibility in challenging environments," he said.
The Industrial RE-BOX® with Cooling permits weather-sensitive data communications equipment to be deployed in external environments. The enclosure provides a secure, weatherproof, climate-controlled facility for applications such as security cameras and lighting that require Power over Ethernet (PoE), fiber optic equipment and networking switch equipment.
The RE-BOX enclosure is characterized by weather-resistant steel construction, a key-locking door that maintains its weather-rating throughout its lifetime, and an innovative closed-loop cooling system that safeguards valuable equipment from weather-related impact. RE-BOX is manufactured with 14-guage steel, and is shielded with an ANSI gray polyester powder coating. Its physical integrity meets or exceeds all applicable EIA/ECA 310-E, UL and cUL, and NEMA 4/12/13 standards.
RE-BOX features a convenient top-mounted patch panel for accommodating easy cable use and patch-cord installation. The 19-inch rack mount supports a large array of equipment types and electrical capacities.
The intuitive design permits easy deployment in such locations as external parking garages, roof tops, stadiums and other outdoor venues, campuses, and other potentially weather-intensive sites. Its best-in-class construction and components distinguish it as a unique resource for all outdoor data communications applications. Major entertainment companies are also interested the RE-BOX for outdoor location shoots, rides and stages.
