Have you heard the news? Hitachi Metals Limited (HML), the parent company of Hitachi Cable America was acquired by Bain Consortium in January 2023. As a result, our trusted manufacturing partner has rebranded away from Hitachi Cable America, Inc. (HCA) and into Proterial Cable America, Inc.

The moral of the story is that, while their name changed, their unwavering dedication to customers, commitment to excellence, and pursuit of manufacturing premium products remains steadfast.

“Our Drybit® CAT 6 and CAT 6A design has surpassed the 8-year mark on the water submersion test, and it still going strong! This cable was designed for installations that have the conduit originating indoors, but that goes through or under a concrete slab, which is often subject to some water infiltration. A standard category cable design would have suffered an electrical failure in a very short time, so we are very pleased that our Drybit® cable has maintained its performance throughout these years, matching what was theorized when originally designed”
