Transition Networks Cost-Effective Fiber Network Integration Products and Mini Media Converters Heading to 2016 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition
New Mini Hardened Ethernet Media Converters and PoE Fiber-to-the-Desk Gigabit Ethernet NICs Featured in BICSI New Product Pavilion
Transition Networks announced today it will showcase it's advanced fiber integration products, including its newest family of hardened mini 10/100/1000 Ethernet media converters, at the 2016 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition, taking place Jan. 31-Feb. 4, 2016, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The company’s new line of hardened media converters includes the M/GE-ISW-xx-01, which measures a space saving 1.8 inches wide by 3.3 inches deep by 0.8 inches high. The converter offers a cost-effective, time-saving way to integrate the benefits of fiber-optic networking – increased data throughput, distance and security - into a hardened Ethernet network.
This new product family is an extension of Transition Networks popular mini product line that offers copper-to-fiber conversion within a package that is more than 50 percent the size of a traditional media converter.
As part of BICSI’s New Product Pavilion, Transition Networks will display its latest addition to the full-line of fiber Network Interface Cards (NIC), N-GXE-POE-xx-01, designed to support a fiber-optic network connection to a computer and a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) connection to a voice over IP (VoIP) phone or other powered device. The NIC is ideal for organizations that have fiber to the desktop, but still need to support desktop PoE devices. This release also adds the innovation to supply power to the IP phone even when the computer is at S1 sleep mode.
Stop by and visit Transition Networks at BICSI in booth #307 where show attendees can also see a demo of the PoE+ NIC.
