Hotels and residence halls often require APs in each room. Many compact APs fasten to a telecommunications outlet low on the wall, vulnerable to tampering, disconnect, or accidental damage. This compact, non-metallic Oberon™ Hi-Bar™ Surface-Mount Enclosures 1017 plastic box protects the AP and cables connected to it. Deep enough to surface mount APs without a telecommunications outlet in the wall, the low-profile 1017 is molded from durable ABS plastic, virtually transparent to the wireless signal. Box cover has tamper-resistant screws.
Oberon™ H-Plane™ Right-Angle Surface Mounts 900-00 is designed to conveniently and securely mount APs from all leading vendor's directly onto hanging conduit in open ceilings, or surface mount on walls. Hinged design facilitates standards compliant termination of horizontal cable inside box, and connecting patch cord to AP. Available in white and black. Add a matching black AP cover to help to conceal AP in open ceiling environments.
Suspended ceiling mounting kit for most vendors' Wi-Fi APs. A cutout is made in the ceiling tile, the tile bridge is placed above the ceiling tile, and the AP is attached to the white trim. The AP and trim assembly is then drawn into the tile bridge with a wing nut, with only the front face of the AP exposed for optimal wireless coverage.
Oberon™ M-Frame™ Open-Ceiling Mounts 1312 series mounting frames are designed to simplify and optimize the installation of APs, connected antennas, and associated accessories. These modular frames are designed for easy configuration, quick installation, consistent implementations and maintenance free operation, in warehouses, manufacturing facilities and other areas with large open ceilings. Designed for APs and antennas from all leading vendors.
Oberon™ NetPoint ™ Bollards 3032 is a cost effective way to extend wireless and Wi-Fi coverage into auditoriums, sports venues, courtyards, malls, and campus open areas permanently or temporarily. The Wireless bollard can be used to mount Wi-Fi APs and antennas in locations where mounting on buildings or light poles is aesthetically unacceptable. The bollard is designed to protect APs and antennas from weather and tampering. The polyethylene thermoplastic cylinder is virtually transparent to wireless signal. Large enough for APs, omnidirectional and directional antennas, and associated equipment from most vendors. Available in custom colors and custom heights.
NOTE: 6 GHz Access Points (e.g. Wi-Fi 6E) may only operate outdoors in the United States in the Standard Power mode (requiring AFC coordination). Low Power Indoor (LPI) Access Points are restricted to indoor only operation.
Note: Contact Oberon to specify a different height or color. This is a custom product and is non-returnable other than for Warranty related issues.
The Model 1022 now has the NEMA PW ancillary rating indicating it has passed applicable tests for power washing. Oberon’s Skybar 1022 series NEMA 4 AP enclosure is designed specifically to protect APs in challenging environments such as stadiums, auditoriums, gymnasiums, industry and outdoors. This rugged polycarbonate enclosure protects the AP from weather, pressure spray, spilling liquids, dust, and impacts, and is transparent to wireless signals so APs with body integrated antennas or small detachable antennas may be protected. The Model 1022 now has the NEMA PW ancillary rating indicating it has passed applicable tests for power washing, and is suitable for environments subject to power washing spray. The enclosure is paintable. This NEMA 4 enclosure is ideal for under-seat installation in public venues.
NOTE: 6 GHz Access Points (e.g. Wi-Fi 6E) may only operate outdoors in the United States in the Standard Power mode (requiring AFC coordination). Low Power Indoor (LPI) Access Points are restricted to indoor only operation.
Locking, 2 x 2 ft. suspended ceiling Wi-Tile ™ enclosure mounts and secures Wi-Fi and Small Cell APs flush to the ceiling. This lightweight aluminum enclosure replaces a standard ceiling tile, and has a durable white textured powder coat to aesthetically match most ceiling tiles. The interchangeable door simplifies AP and antenna moves, adds, and changes without lifting ceiling tiles. APs from all leading vendors can be mounted in the door or inside the enclosure with the configurations with the Polycarbonate or ABS dome. UL listed for both AC line voltage and low voltage (PoE) powered equipment. Styles available for both standard flush grid and recessed grid ceilings (-T). Specify –T version for professional, aesthetic installation in recessed grid ceilings.

Deploying Wireless Solutions in Today's Advanced Healthcare Environments Scott Thompson; President, Oberon™, a Division of Chatsworth Products (CPI) Over the past two decades, wireless technology has evolved as an essential means to provide internet connectivity and transmit voice, data, and video to and from people and devices. According to Statista, the number of wireless local area network (WLAN)-connected devices is estimated at more than 22 billion globally, with smartphone users alone surpassing 6 billion in 2022, equating to more than 83% of the world’s population. Now with trends like remote and hybrid working fueled by the pandemic, global e-commerce, and emerging Internet of Things/Industrial Internet of Things (IoT/IIoT) applications that are increasing demand for more wireless connectivity, it’s no wonder that a recent report by Markets and Markets estimates the wireless market to grow from $69 billion in 2020 to $141 billion by 2025.
